Haven Bereavement Doula Training

The Haven Bereavement Doula Training is a six-week, research-based course that covers the foundations of supporting families through miscarriage, stillbirth, and infant loss.

Whether you’re new to bereavement work or looking to deepen your skills, this training equips you with the knowledge, tools, and support to walk alongside grieving families with confidence and compassion.

Through 6 Core Sessions, we’ll walk through the types of support (emotional, physical, spiritual/philosophical, advocacy, informational, social) as well as the practical sides of this work while also giving you tools to care for your own well-being as you support others through loss.

You'll learn:

The scope and role of a bereavement doula

Emotional frameworks, companioning, and self-care

How to build networks, support clients, and act as a trusted advocate

What to say, when to say it, and how to provide clear, compassionate answers

How to navigate big questions including faith, meaning, and how to respond mindfully
